Poughkeepsie Galleria, Dutchess Tourism, Inc & Arts Mid-Hudson Mural Project Unveiling
Poughkeepsie, NY – Poughkeepsie Galleria in partnership with Dutchess Tourism, Inc and Arts Mid-Hudson will be unveiling their highly anticipated mural project on Thursday, September 27 at 4pm.
Artists had the opportunity to submit proposals between May and June showcasing the best of Dutchess County; natural beauty of the outdoors, the Hudson River, historical sites, colleges, arts, museums and more. Hudson Valley native and nationally recognized artist Alan Dingman was selected to bring his mural submission to life.
“We cannot wait for everyone to see this ‘Distinctly Dutchess’ mural that beautifully highlights so many great aspects of our county,” said Mary Kay Vrba, president and CEO of Dutchess Tourism. “There is no question that it will draw many more people to our tourist information racks and encourage them to explore the various historic, culinary, arts, outdoors, and family friendly attractions throughout the county.”
The unveiling will be followed by a ribbon cutting to signify the newly enhanced Dutchess Tourism Information Center located off the Galleria’s Food Court. The ribbon cutting in partnership with the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce is free, open to the public and refreshments will be served while supplies last.
